Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was aware that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix finished 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003, and later enrolled in University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. Felix was also the youngest winner of the 200-meter race at the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, defeating time-tested Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
